Visas are a pain!

Okay, so I'm going to Europe next year for an extended period of time, and because of that I must acquire a visa. I have everything I need, but the application questions are a little bit confusing, I'm not going to lie. But I have all my documents ready, so, hopefully the rest is cake. I emailed a couple people who should be able to help me and as soon as I finish a few questions I should be in the clear. Anywho. Lots of stuff of my mind lately. Lets see here, what I shall wear to the wedding, the meaning of life, what I need to pack, where I'm going in life, when exactly I'm moving out of my place, what I'll be doing the next couple months, yaddy yaddy yaddy. I'm hungry, I'm going to go eat, then study, hopefully. Happy Thursday all!

Mental Health Day

I decided that today would be appropriately classified as a "mental health day" a.k.a. a day to do absolutely nothing. I figured since I have no spouse or children that I reserve the right to be selfish and lazy, ahhh, how refreshing.

A Lazy Summer Day

The sun is shining

A breeze is blowing

These summer days

Keep my heart a-glowing

There’s work to do

And bills to pay

But there’s a mystery

Upon your last day

So skip your classes

Or call in sick

Find your passion

And do it quick

Time goes so fast

It just flies by

It seems to be gone

In the blink of an eye

Enjoy each day

With its troubles and all

Enjoy the leap

With the risk of a fall

Right or wrong

I’ll take today

Without worries or fear

It’s a lazy summer day

I Love Bridget Jones!

I have hope that there exist Mark Darcys in the world. He's quite the stud. Moving on to more exciting things, I was at the family picnic yesterday and it was pretty enjoyable. I had a lot of fun with all the little cousins, one of them even beat me up. I went over to tease my little cousin, Kyle, and attempted to twist his arm because I seriously underestimated his strength. In about two seconds he was twisting my arm and asking who his favorite cousin was? How typical. Later, a bunch of us played spoons, which turned into a dangerous game, as usual.

To the ends of the galaxy.

It looks great Kels, thanks for asking. It's funny the whole purpose of my wood structure was to hold up the stars, but I am incredibly happy with how the wood grains have come out. For those of you who are lost, I built a "canopy" (but not really), it looks kind of like a canopy though. I have 4 (4x4) wooden posts attached by 4 (2x4) and a midnight blue piece of styrofoam (about the same dimensions of my bed, but up higher) with a bunch a holes in it. The holes just happen to match the constellations in the sky, so, when I turn a light on over the piece of styrofoam, my room is dim and it looks like the stars when I'm laying in my bed. It's AMAZING! If you're having a hard time picturing it, don't worry because I'm going to posting some pictures later, I just haven't since I've been super busy (my apologizes). Gotta go to class, lata!

Sometimes work blows

Sometimes? Okay, most of the time. I'm still too angry to talk about it, I'll adore my galaxy and I'll tell you guys later.

THANK GOSH FOR SISTERS

This is a special tribute to all my sisters, literally, and how lucky I am to have them. I know it's pretty lame and my sisters are probably thinking, "lameo", but seriously, having six sisters is great. Special thanks to the one who just spent forty-five minutes talking to me about all the things that frustrate me, and to the rest I MISS YOU SO MUCH! Have a great weekend girls!

Funny Story

So, that ridiculous picture of me with the crazy hair was meant to be funny, not real. To start from the beginning me, Tayia, and Pity ("Excuse me, the hooker and I") were sitting around one night talking about hair styles when I came across a website that let you try different hair styles on one of your photos, so I started playing around. Pity came up with the ingenious idea to post a picture of me with the ugliest hair style we could find, and it didn't work, four of my sisters said they like it, nice job Poe. Remind me to not let her help me pick out a hair style.

Tonight I was out with some girls in engineering for a SWE meeting, and you will not guess who I saw. The incredibly hot hockey player I hung out with a couple weekends ago and I won't go into details, but I kissed him. I got a glimpse of him as I was talking to a friend, not sure if he recognized me, kind of hoping he didn't, and then he enthusiastically waved and smiled. I actually kind of like this other guy I know, who is in my major, he always makes and effort to talk to me, it's kind of nice. I don't much about him except that he has the same major, he rides a bike, and he's cute, so, what's not to like? Everyone...enjoy the weekend!

Boring...

Whenever I think "boring" I can't help but think of Kelsey saying it so obnoxiously, as once said in a movie, entertaining nonetheless. Anyway, that's what is happening now. As I have said in previous post, I was having trouble in physics and when I asked my professor for some help, crazy, I know, he stated that his "time was limited". A.k.a. find someone else to help you. Then, today in class he spent twenty minutes talking about the percentage of correct responses for each question on the exam; waste of time; like I care how many people got #5 right on the exam. I suppose I think it's ironic that professors can't "waste their time" helping students, but don't mind wasting ours.

Special note to Pity (and everyone else): I wasn't really calling her a bitch, I think she said something to make fun of me (pretty easy to do these days) and that was my comeback. Poe, it was all in good fun. Also, had an amazing time this weekend, can't wait to do it again.

Here's the Scoop

First off, Pity is a bitch.

Lee, thanks for the advice, I know I'm fat, and if I had girlfriend maybe I could get some sympathy, but Trent's the closest thing I've got to it.

Shut up please, I'm very busy and important(me talking to Pity). Okay, so, last weekend, very busy because I had an interview with Honda on Friday, and one with Caterpillar on Monday. It was fun though, I went home for the weekend, and Trent and I had an awesome time. We went to the fair on Thursday night, the interview with Honda was over the phone Friday afternoon, then on Friday evening Trent and I got the goods, you know, movies, bread sticks, pop, candy, etc. Decided to head back to school early, so I left home on Saturday afternoon/evening and hung out with some friends that night. I worked, Sunday night, then closed on Monday, Tuesday, and
Wednesday, which sucked because I had an interview on Monday, and an exam on Wednesday and Thursday. Last night I was beat. Pity came to visit me this weekend, perfect time for a re-boot. Also, there has been a new development with me, it's a little crazy, but let me know what you think...

*IMPORTANT* Due to the disappointing feedback on the last post I have new videos for the ladies out there and I have a feeling you'll like them:

Two Important Things

*Warning: May be offensive to male viewers*

First, I smell. I just got off work, been riding my bike like it's going out of style, ha ha ha, how ridiculous, biking going out of style? That's like saying wearing jeans with one leg rolled will go out of style, never gunna happen. You might be surprised how often I get that, so, I'm delivering subs on my bike, one of my jean legs rolled (that way I don't get grease all over my jeans). Then I take a far delivery and I have to drive, but I'm too lazy to mess with my jeans and people ask me, so, is that a new style (referring to my pant leg)? Hmmm? Yeah, I think it's pretty cool to look like a jackass, come on people, really? I guess someone could wonder why I roll only one pant leg, but a new style? Really? Maybe you need to get out more.

Okay, so now that we've established that I stink, second important thing, Law & Order: SVU is the most amazing show on television. Suspense, sex, scandal, and most importantly Elliot Stabler, if he was a real person and he asked me to marry him I'm pretty sure I would have to say yes. I just watched an episode, sometimes after work I like to kick back and watch a little SVU, but then a horrible thing happen. In this episode everything was leading up to the very very end, I was so confused, the suspense was killing me, then in the last minute of the show, my DVR (a recording system) cut the show early, and I NEVER GOT THE ENDING. Yes, I am a drama queen, but I just wanted to see the ending. I frantically searched youtube, nothing. However, I did find something pleasing to the eye, what a real man looks like.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn_TG4GHDn4

Believe me ladies it's worth watching, and Kelsey I know you'll like it (side note: if you would like to see a real man in person just go to a Gary Allen concert)

I'm going to go hit the shower, and call it a night, hope you all enjoyed the blog today, particularly you ladies.

I HATE PHYSICS

Particularly optics and electricity. It's sucks. I just felt the need to share that fact with everyone.

Now what?

1 job fair, 2 days, 45 companies, 35 resumes, and I'm beat. Since I've mustered up so much energy for the job fair, my studies have taken a serious beating and instead of having a good time this weekend for the home football game it looks like I'll be playing "catch up". Oh well, there's always next weekend. Although, having a little bit of fun doesn't sound too bad. On to things that matter, to top off my week I just recently found out that Congressman Ron Paul is no longer running for President. It's too bad that such an amazing candidate didn't make it to the final round. The little hope us "constitutionalist" had has come and gone, oh well, better luck next time I suppose.

Chica chica chica yeah

Yes, I should be sleeping and of course I'm not. Today was an amazing day! I spent the evening with my roomie from last year and one of her good friends whom I met last year and they both are always a great time. Prior to hanging out with her for the evening I went to a club soccer meeting to find out more about the club and that was interesting. I'm planning on going to practice on Wednesday, but it's a bit early to say what it will bring, I'm very intrigued and would love to get competitive and start playing again. However, I'm not sure because there are so many things I want to do this year, perhaps I have some hidden talent elsewhere that is just waiting to be discovered. We shall see.
On to more juvenile news of my life and I suppose if I'm going to talk about it then I should properly explain the situation. Last semester I was in two different classes with this guy I like to call "Cute Engineering Boy" and the reason for this is because I have no courage at all to speak to this guy that I think is completely handsome. Over the course of last spring I kind of started to talk to him, but not really, I mean we became facebook friends (giving me proper means to stalk him) and I occasionally talked to him in class. On the rare occasion that we did speak I always managed to make a fool of myself, as I often do, which is why I was semi relieved to see last semester come to an end. I was finally able to put my embarrassing moments and childish acts behind me, until today that is. I'm sitting in my math class, the first day of the fall semester, and I was completely surprised at the size of my class of about fifty, opposed to the normal class size of about 400 or so(which has nothing to do with this story, but interesting just the same). So, there I am, early and waiting for the professor (a rarity I might also add because I'm generally the last to show, but like I said all my childish acts are behind me at this point), then out of nowhere he walks in. When I say "he" I don't mean the professor I mean "Cute Engineering Boy", my jaw dropped. I wanted to talked to him after class, I had the perfect opportunity too, but I once again resorted to my earphones and headed to the door. Perhaps I'll see him tomorrow, perhaps not, that's the beauty of life you never can tell what a new day will bring.

Oh Boy!

So, I've already had one hell of a week and you're in luck because I won't bore you with the details, but to top everything off, tonight when I get off after a twelve hour shift, guess what I come home to? First, my front door is locked and my key won't unlock it (there is a button on the lock that will allow this) and when I look in my window I see him sleeping on my couch! When I say him I am referring to the creepy guy who lived there before I moved in, not only is he creepy, but he's not a very nice person. Unfortunately, he is still kind of friends with my other roommate. Sigh. At the end of last year I asked one of my current roommates, Josh, if I could move some of my stuff into unoccupied space in the house and Josh said it would be fine. One of the items I moved in early was a bulletin board that contained many photographs and other memorabilia. When I returned this year I notice multiple photos of mine missing, missing because "Creepy Guy" took them for G*d knows what reason and I'm pretty sure I'd rather not know. There are countless other stories that describe the negative and awful qualities that "Creepy Guy" possesses, which I why I'd like to avoid him altogether, which is why I'd rather he didn't sleep on my couch. Aside from being a bit drained from a few things going on in the past couple weeks I am truly blessed, I have two great roommates, the best sisters ever, and for some reason I always have a way to make ends meet. [I'm pretty sure there is someone looking over me :)] Peace out.
